PLANIT claims the professional training it offers for its Solid Manufacturing cabinet making software can provide immediate time savings of 25% for users.
Planit says this can also boost productivity, because previously unused features can be learnt and brought into play.
One such client is Heidi Ahrens, of Lifestyle Designs International, a Victorian manufacturer and installer of kitchens, bathrooms and laundries. Planit says she was struggling with the Solid Manufacturing software for years, because she had never any professional tuition.
According to Planit, all of Ahrens’ Solid Manufacturing skills had been passed on from a business partner, so she missed out on the formal training that would have allowed her to use all the features of the software to full advantage.
Ahrens invested in two days training at the Planit training centre in Melbourne. Since then, she says, it has “more than paid for itself.” She now believes she should have completed the training a lot earlier. According to Ahrens, she is now able to complete designs in less time and is using parts of the software she never had before.
Planit says it typically sends a trainer to the customer to spend about five to ten working days during the software implementation. The company also offers one day supplementary training sessions for clients on a yearly basis to cover upgrades and new features.
The Solid Manufacturing software is engineered especially for the woodworking industry and provides a complete screen-to-machine solution to confirm all parts and operations before the task begins.
