Rockwell acquires Canadian automation engineers

ROCKWELL Automation as acquired Rutter Hinz, a Canadian engineering firm that develops solutions for the manufacturing and oil and gas sectors.

The company says the purchase will give it a foothold in the Canadian heavy industries market.

Rockwell will keep the Rutter Hinz brand name, but will merge the new asset into its Systems and Solutions business unit.

The Canadian firm has annual sales of around $US35m ($A53.5m). The terms of the purchase were not disclosed.
