Rockwell appoints president to manage software expansion

ROCKWELL Automation has appointed a new President to manage the Rockwell Software division.

Ralph Carter, former President and CEO of Pavilion Technologies, will now be in charge of accelerating the growth and development of the FactoryTalk Integrated Production and Performance Suite.

Rockwell acquired Pavilion Technologies in 2007, obtaining in the services of Carter as well as his 23 years of experience in the software sector.

According to the parent company, multiple acquisitions and the continuing expansion of the FactoryTalk suite has allowed it to take a leadership position in the plant-wide information solutions market.
