Solid benefits from manufacturing software

PLANIT has supplied its manufacturing automation software to Zylem, a cabinet-making company based in Orange, NSW.

The developer says the Solid Manufacturing software streamlines the ordering and production process, reduces setup time by 75% and manages all design and cutting operations.

The program provides a list of wood types and quantities, prepares a cutting agenda and arranges everything for production levels.

According to the solution provider, the software can be integrated with computer numerical control (CNC) equipment to confirm all the parts and operations before production begins.

The cabinet-maker says the software allows it to customise the size, shape and style of its products. It can also control colours, textures, lighting and reflections.

According to the manufacturer, it allows users to configure the placement of openings, interior parts, shelves and trays.
