ABB says it will demonstrate the IRB 4600 robot during the 2009 National Manufacturing Week.

ABB says the IRB 4600 robot is a low-weight, medium-sized robot with a 20 to 60kg payload. It has a compact design intended to cut cycle times.

ABB will also launch the TrueView vision-guided robotic system in Australia at the National Manufacturing Week. The system is designed to see and react to changes in an industrial work environment.

According to ABB, the TrueView vision-guided system enables robots to precisely locate the grip points of a disoriented object within a three-dimensional space.

ABB will also exhibit the SafeMove software and electronics-based safety system, MultiMove, which allows the synchronisation of up to four robots, as well as the Remote Service program, which allows technicians to remotely identify and repair robot errors.
