ROCKWELL Automation has released a new edition of its multi-functional engineering software which includes enhancements for one of Allen-Bradley’s controller ranges.
The RSLogix 500 software version 17 features expanded process control and automation functionalities, a redundancy module and improvements to system availability.
The company says operators from a range of industries can use the platform to improve their system control and availability.
According to the developer, the APC function blocks provide compensation for long, dead-time processes and allow simple multi-variable control with integrated automatic tuning. The redundancy module improves the throughput capacity and switchover time.
