EPSON Robots has introduces the G3 Selective Compliance Assembly Robot Arm (SCARA) robot which is the latest addition to its G series of robots.
The supplier claims the technology will enhance cycle time, precision and motion range.
Epson Robots says the G3 SCARA robot features a curved arm option which maximises the work envelop usage. The 350mm curved arm model matches the motion range of the larger 400mm class SCARA robots, saving floor space.
The robots come in 30 models, and have reaches of 250, 300 and 350mm. They also come in Class 10 Cleanroom, ESD compliant configurations.
Epson Robots says the units come with the Micro PowerDrive RC180 Controller as standard. This provides RC+ Controls software and fully integrated options such as Vision Guidance, Net support, Profibus, DeviceNet and EtherNet/IP.
