Motoman has released the SDA20D robot, which it claims provides 15 axes of motion and human like flexibility of movement.
According to Motoman, the SDA20D robot has a 20kg payload per arm and is suitable for assembly, part transfer, machine tending, packaging and other handling tasks.
Both robot arms can work together on one task to double the payload or handle heavy, unwieldy objects.
The SDA20D robot has a 910mm horizontal reach per arm, 1,820 mm vertical reach per arm and ±0.1mm repeatability.
