DP TECHNOLOGY has launched the latest edition of its computer aided manufacturing (CAM) software for three- and five-axis milling and machining operations.
The company says Version 10 of Esprit Mold includes an Esprit FreeForm five-axis composite machining cycle as well as a cycle for machining impellers.
The software includes 22 new five-axis machining strategies to increase flexibility and improve cycle times. According to the developer, users can independently define machining patterns and tool orientation strategies to create simultaneous tool paths.
All machining cycles include full collision detection during tool path calculation for the tool, the tool shank and the tool holder.
