FANUC Robotics has released a robot said to cope with extremely harsh environments like foundries and die-cast production facilities.
The M-710iC/50 SE FoundryPRO is coated with a special epoxy and has protective covers on the wrists to protect it from high pressure washing. The base of the robot also has an air purge function to remove any vapour ingress.
The unit has a reach of 1360 to 3110mm across six axes and can handle payloads between 20 and 70kg.
The device can be mounted on floors, ceilings, angled walls or vertical walls.
