TREOTHAM Automation is now distributing the Triflex R robot energy chain system from igus, with more than 200 available components covering a range of applications.
According to Treotham, the Triflex R robot energy chain system can be used for large-scale welding, down to small palletising robots.
Treotham also offers a matching Chainflex cable range for all torsional applications, for transferring energy and data. Twistable bus cables are also available for popular industrial bus systems, including Profibus, CAN-bus, and Industrial Ethernet.
The cable insulation is made of torsion-resistant materials, and further protection is afforded by damping elements and a matching PTFE gliding layer.
The braided shield has an optical coverage of 85%, while the pressure-extruded outer jacket is said to be abrasion-proof, oil-resistant and is made of a flame-resistant, halogen-free PUR mixture.
